1. Students funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture
The positions funded by Ministry of Education and Culture are filled after an open call. Applicants present a Research & Study Plan whose aims, contents and schedules are both realistic and compatible with the completion of a doctoral degree within four years following admission into iBioMEP. The Board performs the assessment of applications using the following criteria: eligibility for doctoral education, Master level degree from an applicable area, success in former studies, expected probability for successful research and to perform the doctoral studies in four years, research environment, plan for doctoral study and research, and shown success in early research career. The doctoral programme follows the Academy of Finland Equality Plan in student recruitment.
2. Student Membership
It is possible to apply as a Student Member continuously without deadline. The persons accepted as Student Members of the Doctoral Programme have e.g. the following benefits:
- possibility to receive funding for PhD studies from the Doctoral Programme (Ministry of Education and Culture)
- participation to the Graduate Courses free of charge
- Student Membership is usually considered as a credit in grant applications.
